AT the March meeting of Malvern U3A, Gillian White gave a very lively talk on the life of the much married Bess of Hardwick.
Hardwick Hall being the beautiful property in Derbyshire noted for its astonishing large windows, a novelty for its time. She was clearly the most successful social climber of her day!
This month Jan Long will talk on the life of Gertrude Bell, Edwardian Explorer Extraordinaire. The meeting is at 2pm in The Cube on Tuesday, April 28 and all are welcome.
