On Wednesday the Pre-school which meets at Callow End Primary Schools holds its first birthday party from 9am.
Children and parents are welcome and it will include children’s entertainer Magic Russ. Funded places are available for pre-school children every morning; for more information contact the school office on 01905 830337.
The Royal British Legion commemorates the 70th Anniversary of Victory in Europe and Japan in 1945. The local branch is holding a Victory in Europe Remembered Cheese and Wine Evening in Callow End Village Hall on Wednesday, May 20 from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Tickets are £5 and are available from John Mason (01905 830805), Ann Conaboy (01905 830813) and from the Old Bush, Callow End or the Three Nuns, Colletts Green. Proceeds are in aid of branch funds and the Poppy Appeal.
Tickets are on sale for the Pedigree Jazz Band’s return visit to Callow End Village Hall on Saturday,May 9 from 8pm to 10.30pm. Tickets are £12 and include supper and are available from Jackie Bell on 830061 or David Bailey on 01905 831530.
