ABOUT forty people braved the rain at the start of the Good Friday procession of witness along the Worcester Road in Malvern Link.

Reverend David Nichol led the event with various Bible readings from church members read along the way, and hymns sang which were accompanied by members of the Salvation Army band with their brass instruments and bass drum. At the URC church a short service of devotion was led by retired URC Minister Revd Roger Woodhall, from Hereford.

A similar procession of witness took place in Great Malvern where members of the many churches converged on the Priory for their service led by Revd John Barr.

With the forthcoming election drawing near, there is an opportunity to ask the parliamentary candidates for their views on a range of topics. The public meeting at Christ Church, Avenue Road, is this Sunday from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and will be chaired by Peter Buchanan. All are welcome to listen to the views of the candidates. Thanks go to Philip Wetherall for organising the event.
