POWICK Ramblers held their annual dinner recently at the Fox & Hounds, Lulsley, when 38 people sat down to an excellent meal.

Phil Bunyan thanked Linda Grovenor for organising the meal, and then presented Garth Lowe with a bottle of wine in thanks for his leading the most walks during the past year. The Ramblers had arranged a walk every week and over many years Joy Bunyan had arranged the walks and leaders. As she has now retired from that role, she was presented with a bouquet of flowers by Garth in appreciation. Recent walks have been well attended especially the one around Bromsberrow and Howlers Heath where wild daffodils were in flower, The next walk on Thursday, April 23 starts at Kempsey Common (GR868485) at 10am. The seven mile circular walk takes in Croome Court via Pirton pool, passes bluebell woods, with a stop at the Court for lunch. The leader is Nancy (07722 856202).
