TONIGHT, Friday April 17, Flicks in the Sticks will screen Mr Turner (12A), directed by Mike Leigh and starring Timothy Spall.

The film explores the last quarter century of the life of J.M.W.Turner, the great English artist, known as the painter of light. Homemade ice cream, wine and nibbles will be available on the night. Entrance is £5. Doors open at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.

Tomorrow, Saturday, April 18, Bosbury’s regular Farmers’ Market and Coffee Morning will be held, between 10.30amnd noon, at Bosbury Parish Hall. All the regular suppliers, offering lamb, pork and beef, seasonal vegetables, eggs, homemade preserves, cakes, bread, cheese and liqueurs will be there. Fairtrade groceries and gifts, Phoenix cards and individual craft cards will also be on sale. Fairtrade coffee or tea, with a biscuit is £1. Entry is free.

On Sunday, April 19, Children’s Church, a relaxed act of worship with singing, Bible stories, activities and prayers for all ages, will be held at 10am at Holy Trinity Church, Bosbury. All are welcome.

Make a note in your diary, to enjoy Bosbury Bluebells on Bank Holiday Monday, May 4. From 2pm to 5pm take a bluebell walk in the grounds of Bosbury House, by kind permission of Nat and Laura Hone. There will also be a classic car display, afternoon teas, a treasure hunt, do it yourself maypole dancing and stalls. Admission will be £5 for adults, accompanied children under 16 free. All proceeds will go to Holy Trinity Church, Bosbury and the Parish Hall.
