Thank you to everyone who supported the Red Nose Day Plus One cake, bake and craft stall last Saturday.

Thanks to a roaring trade in hot drinks, cakes and Mother’s Day gifts along with competitions and very generous culinary and monetary donations, the event raised a total of £401.86 for Comic Relief (The Allsopps).

The Mothering Sunday service at Christ Church was enjoyed by all, and the mothers present each received a delightful home-grown bunch of flowers. The church lunch will be at The Farmers Arms this Sunday, 12.30pm for 1pm, after the Family Communion service at 9.30am.

All Circle Dancing fans should meet at the Memorial Hall tonight at 8pm. Enjoy dancing to a variety of music from all around the world at a cost of just £5 for the evening.

This coming week Thursday is the Curious Blend Coffee Morning once again, 10am-noon. Come along for some pleasant company and a chance to look through the second-hand books.

Several members of the village are singing in the Spring Collection Charity Concert at The Rugby Club on Friday, March 27, 7.30pm.
