I KNOW, elections are NOT what you want to hear about at the moment but, very soon now they will be on us.
We should count ourselves lucky to live in a country where free and fair elections happen.
There is, for some, a current mood which neither trusts nor is inspired by parties or leaders.
But we have choices: Do not vote and only we are to blame if things are not as we wish. Spoiling the paper as a protest has the same outcome. Using the vote based on ‘best case’ from information available gives cause for hope.
For me, the best advice comes from St. Paul’s letter to the Romans:
“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.” (Romans 13: 1)
