WE held a simple, and yet very significant, Ash Wednesday Service which marked the start of the Lent period this week and as we enter Lent we have much to enjoy and celebrate at Christ Church.
Many have commented on Steve’s lovely piano playing and there is an opportunity to hear him once more at our Book Fair on Saturday, March 7 from 10am to noon. As well as a huge variety of books, including First Editions and Folio books, we have DVDs and CDs, our gift stall which has proved very popular and, of course, our cards. It is nice to welcome back Maureen Edwards with her own beautifully handmade cards, which she sells for Worcester Cancer Aid. As well as a lovely welcoming atmosphere we have refreshments as well in our Church Café. So don’t miss it and do ask all your friends.
Then, on Monday, March 23 at 7pm an amazing opportunity to see Michael Jones, International cellist, when he returns to Malvern with his Spanish duo partner Agustin Maruri. Those who heard Michael in 2013 were enthralled and, although en route to their North America Tour, he wanted to stop off and play for us in Malvern! Our Sunday Service on March 1will be Holy Communion at 11am it would be very nice to see you. Our Family Service has been moved to March 15 so we can celebrate Mothering Sunday bring the family along to our 11am Service
