THE members of Welland Art and Crafts Group were greeted by a very colourful array of flowers at their February meeting all made by their speaker Avril Pully.
A very artistic lady, Avril used to make flowers for Worcester Royal Porcelain but now produces them from a commercially made soft paste which does not require firing and hardens within hours. The flowers, all beautifully realistic, ranged in size from tiny snowdrops to fully blown roses which she kindly invited us to examine at the end of her demonstration.
The Groups for Needlecrafts and Papercrafts are all meeting on their regular days. The next Group Meeting is on Friday, March 13 in Welland Parish Hall at 7.30pm is a practical meeting based on the ancient craft of Quilling. Visitors are always welcome.
