NINE teams from the Link Group of Churches Together in Malvern met for the annual games evening at Somers Park Avenue Methodist Church hall last Wednesday.

The winner of the Clergy competition of table tennis was won by Reverend Sue Irwin of Powick beating Reverend Rosemary Herbert of West Malvern. Phil Bunyan lost in the final of the table tennis to Glyn Care, and Jim Allsopp won the snooker. Overall winner was the Methodist church, second Holy Trinity, and other teams represented were the URC, Callow End, Guarlford/ Madresfield, St Joseph's and the Salvation Army.

Brave members of Powick Ramblers have been walking in spite of the mud during this month of January. The first walk of February is on Friday, February 6 meeting at 10am at The Cob House on the Marley to Broadheath Road.The four mile walk will be led by Garth Lowe (01886 833362).

Powick church will be closed this Sunday for boiler work and is expected to re-open for Sunday Worship at 11am on February 8.
