VISITORS are always welcome on the first Monday of the month at Colwall Village Hall WR13 6EQ.

We meet for 7.30pm when there is a talk given by a person well versed in their speciality. Arrive early, meet the members and enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee.

The 2015 season opened with the usual high standard of presenter, Simon Guliver, whose talk on Chinese Wilson was enthusiastically received.

Our next meeting, on Monday, February 2, brings Jenny Slaughter to Colwall. Jenny is a Teaching Laboratory Fellow, for the School of Chemistry, University of Bristol. Jenny specialises in teaching hands-on experimental chemistry. The title of her presentation is Why is Grass Green?.

Well, why is it? Come along and find out.

In addition to the foregoing delights, there will be a sale of a collection of gardening books. The funds raised will go to the Percy Picton Memorial Fund. The Fund awards grants to students studying horticulture at Pershore College.

Come early, make/meet friends and discuss your gardening interests (and challenges). There are many experienced and knowledgeable gardeners who are happy to answer questions. Subscriptions, payable in January, are £12; visitors are charged £4.
