2014 WAS a hugely significant year for Christ Church.

Not only have we become our own Parish and awaiting Canon Harold Goddard to be officially licensed as Associate Priest but we have made lots of internal and external improvements. So, I invite you to come in to one of our many services and events to view the internal ones but you can see the external changes as you walk by!

Our beautiful renovated notice board, our grateful thanks to Carleton Jones for doing such a splendid job on that and now we are so very pleased that after many , many years, around 40 we think, our lovely Victorian gas lamp has been restored to all its glory.

We were thrilled to see the progress of our very rusty lamp post which is now transformed into a beautiful and fully functioning lamp once more. The project began in the summer and it has been a collaboration between quite a few to achieve this magnificent result. Our most sincere thanks to the people that made that happen: Boyd Walton, our blacksmith, Adrian Priddey, our electrician, Pat Dorrell who painted it so beautifully and Brian Harper from Sight Designs, Malvern who provided the mechanism to enable it to once more shine outside Christ Church. All in time for Christmas too, it was finally switched on on December 23, our very own Christmas present. If you come and take a close look you will hear the authentic gas lamp noise. Our light is shining outside now as well as in!!

On Sunday, February 8 take the opportunity to view both when we hold a Candlemas Service at 5pm in conjunction with Malvern St James School. The Church will once more be filled with magical candlelight and singing to celebrate, you are so very welcome.

Before then, we have another Book Fair on Saturday, February 7, with more delightful playing by Steve from 10am to noon .
