CONGRATULATIONS to all who took part in and supported the recent village pantomime, and to Richard Allsopp for his skill in writing such a good piece of entertainment. Panto photos are on the Wellington Heath website.
A special invitation is issued to newcomers in the village to attend a welcome meeting at the Memorial Hall on Saturday, December 13, 10.30am-11.30am and meet the good village folk, including the Parish Councillors. This is an opportunity to find out what clubs and activities take place in Wellington Heath and to enjoy some complimentary drinks and nibbles. All villagers welcome!
This Sunday at Christ Church it is the Family Service at 9.30am, and prayers as usual on Wednesday, 9.30am. Thank you to all who supported Rudolf's Christmas Fayre on Saturday past and to those who put so much hard work into the day’s success. An amount of approximately £870 was raised for Christ Church.
Do keep Wednesday , December17 free, 6pm-8pm: come and join in with the around the village carol-singing, (or have your donation and mince pies ready when the group arrive outside your house!) Proceeds go to The Children’s Society.
You are especially invited to come along to the church carol service on Sunday , December 21, 9.30am, and to the Christmas morning family communion. Let’s remember the reason for the season – Jesus Christ.
And it would appear that the resurfacing of The Common has been indefinitely postponed.
