WHERE would you find 38 pints of milk, urns bubbling away ready to make tea and coffee, more cakes and biscuits than could possibly be counted, and teams of volunteers on hand to serve them and make you welcome?

That was the scene on Saturday when the doors of the Priory were flung open and more than 4,000 people came in for a break from all that was happening in the town centre.

A feast of music greeted them – starting with handbell ringing and proceeding through different choirs and groups until the climax after the lights had been switched on in the town – carols led by our Priory choirs. Thank you to all our visitors, and to Peter and Ann who kept it all running smoothly.

After that, we needed a breather and our worship on Sunday, including the Advent Carol Service, gave us that. As we continue through Advent, there is the chance for you to visit us again on the afternoon of December 13, when at 2pm or 4pm you can see our Mediaeval Mystery play, written and produced by our own Robert Payne. More refreshments through the afternoon!

And if you have read all this, and thought “That's all very well, but I work Saturdays”, why not come along on Saturday, December 20 at 6pm and join in the Carol Service for all who work in Malvern?
