OUR October meeting was almost completely taken up with the final arrangements for Remembrance Sunday and Remembrance Day on Tuesday, November 11 and details are as follows:-
Sunday, November 9 St. Peter’s Church, Powick service starts at 10.50am. RBL to assemble at the Red Lion at 10.30am and march off at 10.40am. All uniformed groups in our community are cordially invited to take part in the Powick morning service.
Sunday, November 9 St James’ Church Callow End - follows dedication at the memorial. RBL assemble at memorial at 2.50pm for dedication at memorial 3pm then to church.
Tuesday, November 11 The War Memorial at Callow End:. RBL assemble at 10.50am at Memorial - for dedication and short service at 11.am. Children from Callow End School are invited to lay poppies at this service.
There will be a rehearsal at Powick church on Thursday, November 6 at 6.30pm for all standard bearers and escorts and wreath layers for the Sunday Morning service please attend if you can.
The next branch meeting will be the AGM on Tuesday , November 11 at 8.15pm at Madresfield Club when all officers will need to be elected. Please attend if you can and new members are always welcome.
