THE Come and Sing Event was a wonderful day of music making under the baton of Chris Parsons from Eboracum Baroque raising £560 for the save the roof fund.
There are three more varied events in October:
Saturday, October 18 7.30pm–11pm in Holy Trinity Church Hall Ceilidh with the Appleyard Ceilidh Band, caller Chris Mulvey. Dancing for any age group and ability. You do not need a partner. £8 including ploughman's supper.
Saturday, October 25 7.30pm in Holy Trinity Church. Come and enjoy a Brass Band Concert with Arrow Valley Brass. The Inkberrow based band are well known from their concerts in Priory Park. Tickets £10 (students £5) including light refreshments.
Do you like an odd ode or a terse verse, Kipling or Keats, Thomas or Tennyson, Blake or Brook? If it touches your heart, come and share it at Poetry Please an afternoon of poetry readings on Sunday, October 26 2pm-4 pm in Holy Trinity Lower Parish Hall. Tickets £6.50 including light refreshments.
