THURSDAY, October 15 at 7.30pm sees the second of the very popular Ale House Talks.
River, Mountain and Desert is a talk by Gill Suttle about her story of a journey on horse back through peacetime Syria. Starting in the Orontes Valley to the fringes of Damascus Gill delivers a poignant memoir of a Syria where all faiths once lived in harmony. Tickets £5, available through John Goodwin Estate Agents, Colwall. Refreshments available, all proceeds in aid of St James Church, Colwall.
Further dates include November 12 The Arctic Canoe Race with Elizabeth Young, and on November 26 Ann Carman delivers her talk on her climb up Mount Kilimanjaro.
