WELL we could celebrate this week when our new boiler was finally completed and we can now look forward to a cosy winter!

What a busy week we have had, but it lovely to see our church full and in use during the week, proving a church is not just for Sunday’s!

And on Friday we had the Civic Society talk on Hampton Court, Herefordshire when Catherine Beale gave an illustrated talk and shared with the audience her very wide ranging knowledge on all aspects of this lovely building and garden.

On Saturday we were open all day for visiting cyclists participating in the Worcester and Dudley Historic Churches Ride and Stride Event.

Also on Saturday, September 13 we saw the return of the ESO for their Autumn 2014 series at Christ Church. The Church looked truly lovely and thank you to John Bibby for the much commented on lighting . It was an evening of strings and it had a wonderful intimate feel about it as the audience was drawn in to first , famous and very melodious Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings. This was followed by the contrasting drama of Shostakovich's Chamber Symphony and his own unique style of composing and, finally, Dvorak’s Serenade for Strings this romantic work filled the building with its beautiful sound showcasing the acoustics.

The ESO return on October 3 and this time with a programme for the ESO Winds which will feature Mozart, Gal and , once more, Dvorak. Please do join us at 6.45pm for the pre-concert talk and programme to begin at 7.30pm. Tickets are available for Worcester Live Box Office on 01905 611427 or on the door

But before then why not join us for our Sunday Service at noon. it would be very nice to see you there and on Sunday, October 5 at 5pm there will be a Choral Evensong with Malvern St James School . Any queries please phone 07756 722 426.
