MEMBERS of Churches Group 2 visited St. Gregory’s at Castlemorton where the Churchwarden gave a guided tour of the Church and told of the history of this 12th Century place of Christian worship.
Geographically situated midway between Worcester and Gloucester, it became militarily a strategic target of both Royalists and Parliamentarians during the English Civil War.
Luckily, this beautiful Church remains intact.
The outing was blessed with a fine warm sunny day and rounded off with a heartening lunch for everyone at the Farmers Arms at nearby Birtsmorton.
