THE coffee morning held at St James’ Church last month raised £300 in aid of Barnabas Fund; thank you all who supported.

Callow End Primary School held an Easter Bingo on FridayMarch 4 and will be holding the Easter service in St James’ church today, Friday, at 2.30pm. The beginning of Easter Term sees the Grand Opening of the new Pre-school at Callow End Primary School on Wednesday, April 30 at 9.30am.

Last Friday evening the Callow End WI was host to the Worcester Ukulele Orchestra who entertained 80 people in Callow End Village Hall. The thirteen strong band of musicians presented a wide variety of songs from across the decades from the 1920s up to the 1970s with numbers made famous by Elvis Presley, Dean Martin, Tom Jones, George Formby, John Denver and many others. An excellent ploughman’s supper was prepared by the ladies of the WI and the event was supported by friends and by members of Powyke WI. Any profit from the sale of tickets and the raffle was in aid of Callow End WI.
