THERE is great excitement and expectation in the village at the opening of the pub which had been closed for a considerable length of time. The villagers have been wending their way there to enjoy the meals, drinks and friendly atmosphere. Once the initial teething problems have been dealt with, it is sure to be a winner.

Members of the Wellington Heath walking group enjoyed the daffodils in the scenic Dymock area this past week. There’s still time to do a Daffodil Walk if you haven’t yet done so, and the daffodils are in their prime.

Congratulations to Patrick Adams on his retirement, and we wish both him and Ros safe travelling as they set off to spend some time in Europe.
