WORCESTERSHIRE law firm Thursfields Solicitors has doubled the size of its family law team.

Thursfields Solicitors has recruited Mercedes King-Jones as a director from Wright Hassall in Leamington Spa and Lucy Mackintosh as a solicitor from Parkinson Wright in Worcester.

The new recruits means Thursfields’ city-based head office now has four lawyers in the department, with the other two being solicitor Charlotte Perry and associate solicitor Laura Williams.

Shane Miller, director and head of the department, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Mercedes and Lucy to the company, and are thrilled to add their experiences and expertise.”

Ms King-Jones, an expert in high net-worth divorces and farming divorces, said: “Thursfields is a dynamic, ambitious and fast-expanding law firm.

"I see it as an exciting opportunity to join a passionate team with a strong focus on client care and an emphasis on integrity and expertise, which aligns with my own values.”

Ms Mackintosh, whose expertise includes matters relating to children and child arrangements, added: “I have wanted to work for Thursfields for a number of years because it’s clearly a forward-thinking and progressive firm."
