A TEAM from a city gym took part in a static cycle ride recently to raise cash for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
Members of David Lloyd Worcester took part in the fundraising challenge in Bell Square, Crowngate, where they were challenged to pedal 54 miles.
This distance was chosen as it is the equivalent of the distance from London to Brighton, which fundraising cyclists will be doing to raise money for the British Heart Foundation, on June 17.
Generous donations from city residents were given which David Lloyd has put towards its goal of raising £1,500 for the charity in 2018.
David Lloyd Worcester’s general manager Stuart Cashmore said: “The British Heart Foundation is David Lloyd’s chosen charity again in 2018.
"Thank you to Crowngate Shopping Centre for allowing us to come and pedal in Bell Square. Naturally, we choose exercise related fundraising and it was great to showcase fitness as well as the charity bike ride.”
Crowngate Centre Manager Erica Burlace added: “It was a pleasure to welcome the David Lloyd team to Crowngate for the day. We enjoy partnering with other local businesses in this way, especially in support of such a worthy charity.”
The event is one of a series of regular fundraising initiatives being undertaken by David Lloyd Worcester throughout 2018 in aid of The British Heart Foundation.
