AN Evesham firm has been awarded a prestigious award from British Gas.

Advanced Water Company (AWC), based at Unit D5 The Enterprise Centre off Enterprise Way has been awarded the British Gas' Suppliers Towards Excellence Program's overall winner 2015-2017 for the 'heating spare parts' category.

Having supported British Gas' with heating components for over 10 years, this is the second time running the award has been won by Evesham based AWC.

To identify the best supplier, British Gas monitor delivery accuracy, delivery timescale, communication, invoicing and product quality for a period of two years.

AWC employs 26 staff from three office and warehouse locations.

Set up in 2000 by Stewart Robinson, the company has developed a reputation in the sector for unvented cylinder and water heating spares and supports large contractors, local and national merchants and even homeowners with technical advice provided by trained staff.

AWC supplied more than 80,000 products during 2015-2017 and achieved a compliance score of 99.9 per cent.

As well as specialising in unvented cylinder and thermal store cylinder spares the firm also cover product lines such as expansion vessels, thermostatic mixing valves and pressure reducing valves.

The award was presented at British Gas' headquarters in Leicester just before Christmas.

Matthew Hannant, AWC's sales and marketing manager, said: β€œIt is a real honour to be recognised by British Gas in this way and testament to the hard work put in by staff throughout the whole company.

"We are proud to be the number one supplier to British Gas for heating components and will be working hard to win the award for a third time running in 2019.”
