A BUSINESS club has been getting into the festive spirit by making a generous donation to worthy good causes.

Members of Worcestershire Business Breakfast Club (WBBC) - one of the longest running clubs in the region - held their last meeting of 2017 in December where it was announced that they’d raised more than £160 for not one, but three good causes.

Members donated a whole host of prizes, which included a Christmas cake from St Richard’s Hospice and a Christmas hamper from Webbs - which is where the club meets each month.

They also gave generously when it came to entering the raffle to win these prizes.

The money raised is being split between St Richard’s Hospice, Megan Baker House and NewStarts, WBBC’s chosen charities.

WBBC chairman Julie King said: “What a wonderful way to end the year, giving to our chosen charities, who all do such great things within the local community.

“Christmas is a time for giving and receiving and we’re pleased to say that, thanks to the generosity of our members, we’ve been able to help not one, but three really worthwhile local causes.”

WBBC meets at Webbs in Wychbold from 7.30am to 9am on the last Friday of every month.
