FORMER Worcester Warriors chief executive Jim O'Toole has launched a company supporting sports businesses.

Mr O’Toole has launched Sports Interim, offering flexible and cost-effective solution to clubs, events, leagues, federations and national governing bodies in a time of economic uncertainty that will impact on investment decisions.

Mr O’Toole said: “Ongoing concerns regarding Brexit, the Trump factor and probable increases in UK interest rates and their collective impact on sports fans' spending, are causing the owners of sport businesses to review staffing commitments.

"There is a gap in the sports industry for senior level interim solutions that address the short-term challenges that owners, chairmen and chief executives face on a regular basis.

"Sports Interim has access to pool of talent available to provide that solution as a flexible and cost-effective alternative to hiring full-time resource to address a short-term issue.”

Sports Interim will focus on short-term senior level solutions in general management, commercial, staffing reviews, venue operations, health & safety, communications, and infrastructure project delivery.

O’Toole has 20 years’ experience in sports marketing and management including 15 years managing sports marketing agencies where he worked with brands including Vodafone and AIG, and rights holders that included Manchester United and FIFA.

He also served as CEO of two world championships in water sports, as Commercial Director of London Irish Rugby club and mostly recently as Chief Executive at Worcester - a role he left in June 2017.

He also has experience in grassroots sport as Chairman of Beaconsfield RFC and as Non-Executive Director of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire County Sports partnerships.
