VISIT Worcestershire is again holding its annual Tourism Awards for Excellence.

The awards, which are being held in partnership with Visit Herefordshire, celebrate tourism businesses across the two counties from family run hotels to fine dining restaurants, local food producers to colourful festivals and unique visitor attractions.

The awards are being sought for all the categories, which this year include best drinks producer which has been added for 2017.

Tourism businesses can now submit individual applications for up to 11 different categories in best hotel, best guest accommodation, best self catering, best conference venue, best eating out, best food producer, best visitor attraction, best touring, camping and holiday park, and best festival and events in the community and commercial.

Anna Pearson Gregory of Monnington House, winner of best self catering, said: "It is great the industry has recognised our hard work.

"Herefordshire is a wonderful county to visit - there are so many activities available nearby and of course the food is superb which helps enormously."

The deadline for applications is Friday, July 7, at 4pm.

Entrants will need to be available for judging between July 17 to 29, while finalists will be invited to a ceremony taking place at Malvern Theatres on Tuesday, September 19.
