RECRUITMENT provider eResponse Group has chosen Primrose Hospice as its charity for the next 18 months.

Staff at the firm, which has six offices across the Midlands, including Worcester and Kidderminster, voted to help the hospice with its fundraising to care for cancer patients and support their families. The backing will see eResponse staff taking part in organised events on behalf of the charity, as well as the firm raising money and running a variety of its own local fundraisers.

Paul Alekna, co-founder and chief executive of eResponse Group, said: “We are rooted in our communities so it’s entirely fitting that our staff picked a charity based right here in Worcestershire. Primrose Hospice provides such a vital service at what can be a terrible time for the patients and their families. We are looking forward to doing all we can to help over the next 18 months.”

The charity requires at least £1.5m a year from fundraising in order to offer a day hospice, home service and family support. Kate Kelly from Primrose Hospice, which has centres in Redditch and Bromsgrove, added: “We were really thrilled when we heard we had been chosen as eResponse Group’s charity in Worcestershire for the next 18 months. It’s a new partnership for us, with a company that has a great reputation across the county. They already help place people into work and now they’re helping us raise much-needed funds.”
