TIME is running out for family run businesses in Worcestershire to enter the sector's flagship awards, The Midlands Family Business Awards.

Nominations must be made before midnight on Wednesday, July 18 with ten categories to choose from, including the all-new best use of digital and entrepreneur of the year awards, and the established manufacturing excellence and director of the year awards. Entries are free and can be made via the Awards’ website www.familybusinessawards, which includes profiles and information about all the categories, and tips on what the judges are looking for.

Charlotte Perkins, managing director of The Wilson Organisation and part of the Awards’ team, said: "The Midlands Family Business Awards are a truly unique, independent, not-for-profit initiative in the region that recognise and celebrate the work and achievements of family owned businesses and their leaders. All Midlands-based family businesses and their leaders can enter completely free of charge, but the clock is ticking, and they have less than two weeks left to make their submission.

"Year-on-year, the awards have grown in strength, popularity and awareness. They bring together a network of 1,000 family businesses that is also an incredible community of individuals and businesses all with one common goal - to raise awareness of the contribution the family business sector makes both in the Midlands and nationally, and to reward and acknowledge their work, successes and sustainability. As their organisers, we continue to strive to build on the awards’ amazing legacy and incredible support. As a not-for-profit initiative, we are indebted to the support of our sponsors, without whom the Awards would simply not be possible.”
