A COUNTY property where once there was barely a married person in sight, is set to host a wedding fayre on Sunday, May 29.
Stanbrook Abbey at Callow End, a former Grade II Listed Benedictine convent set against the picturesque backdrop of the Malvern Hills, was formerly home to a closed order of nuns. When they moved out, it underwent a multi-million pound transformation into an events and hotel venue,
making it somewhat unique in the wedding world.
General manager Martin Page said: "We now have a wealth of experience hosting weddings here at the hotel, however we understand each wedding is unique and the size of our venue means we can offer an individual experience to everyone who ‘ties the knot’ here."
The wedding fayre will allow couples to discover the beauty and charm of the former monastery, as well as meet with wedding suppliers.
The event will take place between 11am and 3pm.
