COUPLES can book to take their wedding vows in hallowed halls where nuns once took vows of an altogether different kind, when Stanbrook Abbey Hotel hosts a wedding open day on Sunday, April 24.

The former Grade II Listed Benedictine convent at Callow End, which is set against the picturesque backdrop of the Malvern Hills, has undergone a multi-million pound transformation into an events and hotel venue, making it somewhat unique in the wedding world.

General manager Martin Page said: "Our beautiful venue needs no introduction when it comes to wedding planning. From the gorgeous grounds, which surround the outdoor pavilion, to the Callow Great Hall and the stunning St Anne’s Hall. It’s overwhelming how beautiful the Abbey looks for a wedding or private function. The wedding open days we host at Stanbrook are always a huge success and the journey to planning your dream wedding starts as you travel up the driveway with breath-taking views of the Abbey.”

The open day will allow couples to discover the beauty and charm of the former monastery and its function rooms, as well as meet with wedding suppliers.

The event will take place between 11am and 3pm on Sunday, April 24th.
