LUXURY hotel The Wood Norton at Evesham has opened the latest part of its £10m refurbishment programme.

This comprises the extension of both its conference and restaurant facilities following the recent renovation of its "old kitchen". Now titled Fleur de Sel, the refurbished suite provides a new and intimate meeting room with a capacity of up to 20.

Refurbished by interior design specialist, Linda Brage of Core Design, the Fleur de Sel now has neutral and grey colourings, with indoor lighting and comfortable furnishings to create a calming and welcoming atmosphere. The design ensures the room can serve its second purpose, when come early evening it is transformed into an additional restaurant facility, specifically for hotel guests and local residents who have ordered from its new bar and gastro menu.

General manager Steve Sweeny explained: “Here at The Wood Norton we have become an increasingly popular venue for businesses requiring meeting or conference facilities and although we have both the boardroom and the Orangery to accommodate this demand, we wanted to create an additional space ideal for medium sized groups of between 10 and 20.

“What’s more, with Linda Brage doing such an excellent job with the interior design, we have been able to utilise this area for a second gastro restaurant for both hotel guests and local residents who want to enjoy a casual light bite as opposed to a five course fine dining experience, as served in our Fleur de Lis restaurant.”
