LOCAL social entrepreneurs are being offered the chance to realise their dreams through a partnership between Lloyds Bank and the School for Social Entrepreneurs.

Throughout January, February and March, the Lloyds Bank Social Entrepreneurs Programme will host taster sessions across the Midlands to showcase the opportunities on offer to aspiring and existing social entrepreneurs. The sessions will give a practical understanding of how the programme works and the Worcester taster event will be on Wednesday, January 27 from 17.30 – 20.00 at The Hive.

The Start Up programme offers a £4,000 grant, a year of dedicated training and assigned business mentor to aspiring entrepreneurs. While the Scale Up programme provides a £15,000 grant in addition to learning support and business mentorship to existing social entrepreneurs aiming to expand their enterprise.

Alastair Wilson, chief executive of the School for Social Entrepreneurs, said: “It is with great excitement that we welcome every year a new cohort of excited, ambitious and inspiring social entrepreneurs across the country who are all driven to help deliver social change in their communities. The taster sessions give you the perfect opportunity to learn all about the Programme and how it can help you develop your ideas.”
