A RETIREMENT homes developer has launched a search to find Worcester's best photographer.

McCarthy and Stone is inviting local people to capture the heart of the city in winter with the results put on display in its Francis Court development in Barbourne Road.

The competition is called Through the Lens and gives budding photographers the chance to snap the delights of winter in Worcester. Winners will be awarded a £100 cheque, while their winning photograph will be displayed in Francis Court for residents to enjoy. Two runners up will also receive a £50 cheque each.

Paul Bennison, regional marketing manager for McCarthy and Stone, said: “Worcester really is the perfect place for downsizers and retirees to settle, offering the best of both worlds for those wanting a scenic, rural escape, but who aren’t ready to give up the hustle and bustle of urban life. We want to see the town through the eyes of those who know it best – its residents – and we’re excited to see how they’ll capture all that Worcester offers.”

Those wishing to take part should email their photos and contact details to mccarthyandstone@mccann.com, or post to Worcester Through the Lens, C/O McCann PR, Communications House, Highlands Road, Shirley, Solihull, West Midlands, B90 4WE. Entries should be submitted no later than midnight on 31 December 2015.
