A WORCESTER furniture and design business is celebrating its 30th birthday by giving something back to the community that has supported it for three decades.

Jonathan Macmillan, who founded Insitu in Friar Street in 1985, has introduced the Insitu 30 Years Charity Award, comprising a Stressless chair and stool worth more than £1,000. He will be giving it to the local charity judged most in need as a way of saying "thank you" to those who have supported him over the years.

Mr Macmillan explained: "I know many charities work tirelessly to provide vital support in the community. I'd like to say my 'thank you' in the way that I know best through awarding a brand new high quality piece of furniture as my contribution to your services."

The winner of the Stressless chair will be announced on the anniversary of Insitu's opening on Wednesday, October 14. All applicants will be invited to the shop to meet the team and hear the results over refreshments at 6.30pm.

To apply email jonathan@insitufurniture.co.uk or call 01905 613515 and ask for the 30 years Charity Award application form. All applications need to be returned to 35 Friar Street, Worcester by 5.30pm on Monday, October 5. The award is open to any registered charity in the Worcestershire County Council area.
