PROJECT ecologist Emily Drinkwater, who works for Worcester-based environmental firm SLR Consulting, has been presented with the 2015 Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management’s promising professional award.

Miss Drinkwater accepted the prize, which recognises the exceptional achievements of a CIEEM member during the early stages of their career, at the annual awards ceremony held at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham.

Since joining SLR’s office in Brindley Road permanently in 2013, she has worked on a large number of interesting and varied projects including Greatmoor Energy from Waste Facility at Calvert in Buckinghamshire.

SLR associate ecologist Andrea Wilcockson, who nominated Miss Drinkwater for the award, said: “The winner must demonstrate their expertise as well as a strong commitment to professional development. We are delighted that Emily’s hard work and dedication has been recognised.”

Miss Drinkwater, who has an MSc in conservation ecology, added: ‘I’m proud to be the recipient of this award. I am thoroughly enjoying my time with SLR and would like to express my gratitude to my colleagues for their support.”
