MALVERN construction company Speller Metcalfe has won another major industry award.

The firm based on Enigma Business Park picked up the contractor of the year title at the 2015 Construction News Awards in a ceremony at London's Grosvenor House Hotel before more than1300 industry leaders from across the UK.

Joint managing director Steve Speller said: "In our 20th year, to win contractor of the year against some of the biggest names in construction is simply a fantastic achievement. It’s our incredible staff that have won this award and this is for every one of them.”

The contractor was also a finalist for sustainable project of the year for its work at Western Power Distribution in Spilsby, Lincolnshire, which was announced as the world’s highest BREEAM Outstanding project in 2014.
