NEW accommodation at a Worcestershire nursing home has been officially opened.
The extension to Stanfield Nursing Home in Rushwick includes seven new bedrooms, an attractive multi-purpose sitting area and a safe, enclosed sensory garden.
Don Briant, whose wife Joyce has lived in the home for six years, and Iris Jordan, whose husband Ron has been resident in the Georgian building for 12 years, were handed the honour of cutting the red ribbon.
The duo unveiled a special silver plaque to commemorate the occasion while Mr Briant gave a short speech thanking the home for the care and support it has provided to residents over the past 28 years.
Presents and bouquets were also given out to special guests including Deborah Dawson, the daughter of Mrs Jordan, who has been a big supporter of the home for many years.
