A WEALTH management firm has appointed a top investment manager as a member of its board to lead an enhanced investment service.

Kathryn Field, chief investment officer and chartered wealth manager at financial planners McCarthy Taylor, will now sit on the board following the creation of a discretionary fund management service.

Chief executive Paul Taylor said: “We are very lucky to have secured Kathryn's enthusiastic commitment to our firm, her valuable experience and expertise is evident to us all as well as the very positive way she has become part of our company family. This additional service builds on our reputation for delivering a quality service and outcomes that meet clients’ needs and expectations. The service addresses clients demands and fits well with our financial planning arm now led by Philip Haden who was recently appointed managing director, financial planning.”

Ms Field has a career spanning 20 years in financial services, working predominantly in the City of London, and she has held senior positions for leading

stockbrokers and investment management companies. Originally from Worcestershire, she has come back to her roots to work at McCarthy Taylor, which has offices in Worcester and Evesham, to use her specialist skills in discretionary portfolio management to lead the investment arm of the business.
