BUDDING Worcestershire business stars have secured a sales deal with one of the biggest independent garden centres in the UK.

Clean Cut, a Young Enterprise company set up by sixth formers at Tudor Grange Academy in Redditch, makes laser cut home accessories and is now selling its Cheers Big Ears and More Wine Deer? animal wine racks at Webbs Garden Centre, Wychbold, near Droitwich.

Clean Cut is run by managing director Oliver Bushell with the rest of the team comprising Joshua Hodgson Borne, Tania Kalaida, and James Travell.

Mr Bushell said: “We are all very passionate about Clean Cut. We are honoured and privileged to have our products bought by such a big retailer as Webbs. It is a tremendous boost to a small manufacturer such as ourselves and we have learned so much from the experience and value the opportunity."

The Clean Cut team was one of more than 10 companies which pitched products to the public at a trade fair held at Webbs in March, winning the best product award.

The company has been set us as part of Young Enterprise, the UK’s largest enterprise education charity. The Company Programme, its flagship learning experience, is for students aged 15 to 19 and starts at the beginning of the academic year. Participating students form their own business, then develop and market a service or product.

Webbs chairman Ed Webb said: “As a company Webbs is committed to supporting worthwhile local projects and is very happy to encourage these business entrepreneurs in the world of retail. Their enthusiasm and the quality of their products is excellent and we are pleased to offer them to our customers.”
