Far from "should have", it looks like a case of "will have" for Worcestershire workers and optical giants Specsavers.

Because IGS, Lens Online and Vision Labs based in Kidderminster, which form part of the Specsavers Group, have come together to sign a two year contract with local agency Hewett Recruitment. Employing more than 1000 people in Kidderminster, the trio's plans for expansion will see at least 200 new jobs being created for local people over the next two years. As sole supplier, Hewett’s will manage sourcing and supplying the pipeline of operatives with the necessary skills required to meet these growing demands.

Tony Browne of IGS said: "Hewett’s has a high level of engagement and is respected by the local and wider community. Its reputation for treating local people well, fits with our outlook and values and ensures it attracts the best people for our business. All the general managers are delighted to be working with the Hewett Industrial team and see this as a long term mutually beneficial relationship."

Adrian Tune of Vision Labs added: "We have been impressed by the way Hewett’s has taken the time to understand our business needs and respond to our unique and often demanding requirements.”

Louise Hewett said: "Winning this contract cements a great relationship with a world class local business. It’s great news for us and means more jobs for local people.”
