IT was tea for three when culture secretary Sajid Javid dropped in at Gough Bailey Wright in Bromsgrove.

The constituency's MP met Sue Bailey and Michelle Wright, who have developed the award-winning company that delivers both traditional and online communications across its public relations, community affairs, digital and creative departments.

“It was a pleasure to visit Gough Bailey Wright and to understand more about the work that this thriving local agency is undertaking,” he said. “It’s brilliant to see a Bromsgrove business, in a sector which falls under my Government role as secretary of state, going from strength to strength and continuing to contribute to our local community. Gough Bailey Wright is an asset to our growing and flourishing business community here in Bromsgrove.”

GBW, which was founded in 1936 and is the longest running consultancy in the region, employs 27 people at its offices in Worcester Road, Bromsgrove, and works with a range of local and national clients across different sectors.

Managing director Sue Bailey said: "We are very proud to be based in the heart of Bromsgrove and are truly delighted to have a strong relationship with our local MP, who is not only passionate about our industry sector but also happens to be one of the most influential politicians in Parliament. He was genuinely interested in our accomplishments as an agency and recognised the contribution we make to the local community, something that we pride ourselves on. We really enjoyed Sajid’s visit on Friday and are keen to maintain a relationship with him in the months ahead.”
