ACCOUNTANTS working directly within businesses are being offered a free annual update by national audit, tax and advisory firm Crowe Clark Whitehill.

The morning update takes place on Friday, November 7, at The Granary Hotel, near Kidderminster, with registration from 9am.

The updates are designed to help meet the continuing professional development needs of accountants working outside the profession, but they will also appeal to those in industry and commerce who need to keep up to date with tax and VAT requirements.

Topics will take in current developments in company taxation, capital gains tax and personal tax for business owners, developments on employee taxation issues and VAT.

Partner Rob Gunn, who heads the Midlands tax team, said: “Our updates will provide a valuable update for delegates on the latest business taxation issues while contributing to their compulsory annual CPD requirements.”

Guest speaker is Martyn Ingles, a chartered accountant and a taxation specialist. He is now a freelance training consultant and a regular lecturer for the professional sector.
