A TEAM from Hewitt Recruitment of Kidderminster roared to victory in a Grand Prix karting event to raise money for Sight Concern.
The quartet of drivers held on through 90 minutes of racing, three driver swaps, three black flags, a few crashes and multiple spin outs to take the top spot in the competition against 15 other teams at Birmingham Wheels outdoor track in Birmingham.
Team captain Anthony Andrews said: "It was a great day and for a good local cause, so we were happy just to be involved. It was nice to come out on top but we were all having so much fun, I don’t think the result would have mattered. But to get first place was a real team effort, great tactical planning and really consistent and fast lap times from the team, and some great wheel to wheel racing on track."
Sight Concern is the only the charity specifically dedicated to improving the lives of Worcestershire people with sight loss.
