VISITORS to Shortwood Farm in Pencombe, near Bromyard, are being greeted by a highly unusual sight.
Farmer David Legge has been getting creative using his JCB and has created a 20-foot-high cow out of half-ton straw bales.
But Mr Legge’s creative efforts did not stop there, as after completing the imposing statue he hit on the idea of using bales to create a maze for young visitors to play in.
“With harvest completed and straw gathered in there was no shortage of building blocks, so he got to work again and after a few hours the maze was complete,” said Janet Legge.
“It has lots of twists and turns and with Halloween approaching, who knows what might be lurking in the dark spooky corners?”
Shortwood will be open for half-term from Saturday to Friday, October 22-28. For more information call 01885 400205.
