STUDENTS at Queen Elizabeth Humanities College have a busy few months of fund-raising ahead to play at a popular music festival and competition.
They have already spent a day cleaning staff cars at the Bromyard school and they plan a bag pack at a Hereford supermarket and a sponsored walk on the Malverns in September to raise the necessary funds for the Fleetwood Music Festival in October.
The choir has been busy rehearsing Give us Hope and Brother James’ Air for the event, which will also feature instrumentalists.
Head of music, David Kemp, said: “The North of England is renowned for the quality of its music festivals and Fleetwood is one of the biggest. I know that our students will do us proud and judging by the way they are working towards this, they plan to come back with some awards.”
