THE latest tipple from a popular Malvern brewer takes a playful poke at the economy and the country’s banking system.

Dubbed Dodgy Banker and with playful labelling matching up with its name, the new “light and fruity” beer from Malvern Hills Brewery will be officially launched at the Great Malvern Hotel in Graham Road this evening (Friday) at 7pm. Frances Casey, spokesman for the West Malvern-based brewery, said the idea behind its latest line had already struck a chord with customers.

“It’s a bit of fun.

Obviously the economy is in a right mess and we’ve had various customers complaining about it, so we wanted to do something lighthearted to play on it.” Frances is pictured with Simon Wakefield of the Great Malvern Hotel.
