MP Harriett Baldwin officially opened the new library block at St Matthias Church of England Primary School in Malvern Link.
She also took part in a question and answer session with the school council and toured the classes.
The school became an academy last year as part of an arrangement with four other local schools, including Dyson Perrin Academy.
Mrs Baldwin said: “Under the leadership of Claire Davies, the school has made huge strides out of special measures and is now officially rated good.
“The academy links are working well for the school and the pupil premium is helping to support the children’s learning.
“It is clearly a delightful school with lots of happy children and they sang very beautifully. The staff are clearly doing a great job and the pupils are enjoying a strong primary education and lots of before and afterschool clubs, sports and activities.
“It is always nice to be invited to celebrate the opening of new facilities and the library will be a great asset to the school.
“I also enjoyed meeting with the school council and I was impressed with the interesting questions which they put to me.”
