A YOUNG Enterprise company from Malvern St James girls’ school has secured a place in the competition’s West Midlands final.

The company, named Royal Flush, is the second team from the school in two years to get through to the regional final. It was also awarded prizes for best use of information technology, best company report, best company presentation and best overall company.

Royal Flush has produced a children’s book which tells the story of a teddy and his international travels, informing readers about different cultures and giving them handicrafts to try out.

The book was written, illustrated and produced totally by the students.

Head Patricia Woodhouse said: “This is a brilliant achievement. I am delighted.”

The team now goes forward to the West Midlands final on Wednesday, June 13, at Birmingham University.
