ON Tuesday, May 8, members met at the Village hall for the monthly meeting, chaired by president Carol Hutchins.
Announcements were made, most of it on the Diamond Jubilee, so a merry time is going to be had by all.
Getting down to serious business the talk was entitled Home Grown Talent – a Pony Centre. This very amusing talk was given by the president herself who for seven years with her family ran a miniature pony centre on Dartmoor.
Members heard about her trials and tribulations, (foot and mouth for example) but also the funny side, this being the general public.
The next meeting is on June 12 entitled Jubilee Garden Party. New members are very welcome
